TOMS: Shoes for a Cause

Have you ever heard of TOMS Shoes? The company was created in 2006 by an American traveler, Blake Mycoskie, after a voyage to Argentina where he found that the children had no shoes to protect their feet. For every pair of TOMS that are purchased, the company donates one pair to the cause. Shoes are so important because walking is the primary mode of transportation in developing countries. A simple pair of shoes that we oft take for granted will keep a child healthy and safe and help them to carry out everyday tasks with ease. One of my favorites is the Women's Amiga Fleece Lined Botas - $79 (pictured above).

From May 2006 - December 2009, TOMS Shoes donated 400,000 pairs of shoes. You can get involved with TOMS Movement in various ways! Visit http://www.tomsshoes.com/Get-Involved for more information.
